Just trying not to ruin a perfectly fine blank canvas.

All photos that look professional were shot by the amazing Matt Dayak. All half ass, iPhone looking images were NOT photographed by Matt Dayak.

I went to art school.

That and a nickel will buy me a cup of joe. Well, maybe back in the 80’s it could. Anyways, I make stuff. Stuff that involves paint, charcoal, ink and occasionally things that involve power tools, band-aids and basic math.

Thank god for erasers.

I like to draw things. People, objects, animals and various random doohickies. Sometimes the drawings are big, sometimes they are tiny, but inevitably it they always involve an eraser.

Tip: Don’t wear Sunday slacks when you paint.

Or while wearing your best pair of Old Navy jeans. Also, why do people say “pair of jeans”? Usually, well adjusted people wear only one at a time. I paint on canvas, wood, paper, as well as on my shirts, pants, hands and face for that matter.

I don’t know what it is, but it matches my drapes.

I often create work that somebody can usually guess what it is. But it’s also fun to create work that will make you want to say “Hey, my kid could do that”. Yeah, maybe your kid could do something like it, but your kid probably can’t grow facial hair, drive a motorized vehicle or pay a mortgage every month for 30 years.
